Uniform
Magenup club colours are navy blue and white. We have new white club shirts
available for sale, however the old type are still acceptable and can
be worn. We also have a couple of hats available, and in winter our navy
polar fleece vests. All can be preordered or purchased directly if stock
is available. Please see a committee member to purchase your uniform.
Saddleblankets may also be available, for both clinic days and ARCA team.
Whilst uniform is not compulsory we do encourage you to at least wear
the club colours. |
Trophies
There are several trophies awarded at the end of year Annual General Meeting
(AGM). One of these trophies requires you to nominate for at the beginning
of the year. This is the Jayne Phillips Memorial Trophy, which is awarded
to a horse in its first year with the club. So if you are starting a new
horse this year, or you are a new member, please ask for a nomination
form. Points gained during the year at closed shows go towards winning
this coveted award, in memory of a valued member of our club. Please
note: members must attend 3 clinics to be eligible for trophies. |
Membership
Cards
2008 sees the introduction of Membership Cards which will be issued upon
joining the club. Keep these cards with you at all Magenup events, as
for each clinic and show attendance, set up, pack up, and each time you
wear full club uniform, you will receive points towards a new Hi Point
Club Member which will receive a gift voucher at the end of the year,
again presented at the AGM. Please make sure that at each clinic or show
you see 1 of the office bearers of the committee, to have your cards signed
off. They will be collected at the end of the year for tallying up. These
cards are your responsibility and if lost your points tally will go back
to zero, so please take care of them! |
ARCA
ARCA is Adult Ridings Clubs Association of WA. ARCA holds 3 or 4 Inter
Club Challenges each year, which your MARG membership entitles you to
compete at. There is several other adult riding clubs that belong to ARCA.
They hold gymkhanas – which includes hacking, jumping and games,
an ODE and a dressage competition – which also includes a club quadrille!!
They are held by different clubs at their own grounds. If you wish to
compete at the Inter Club Challenges, full MARG uniform is compulsory
to be worn by all members at all events, and you will need to pay an entry
fee for each competition you enter. |
